2024 BMW 5 Series Redesign, Review, Dimensions – After numerous reports regarding the upcoming model, the 2024 BMW 5 Series has officially been spotted testing. The camouflaged prototype is refreshed and appears to be sporting a modern design aesthetic.
We were able to observe some of the modifications and changes despite the camouflage wrap and covers. In fact, it was on the new BMW X1 that we first observed headlights resembling those we had lately seen. On the 5-series, however, the highlights are sleeker and longer, with distinctive LED graphics and distinguishing angel eyes. It’s interesting to note that the 2024 BMW 5 Series’s next generation will be built on the CLAR architecture and have a variety of mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and completely electric powertrain options.
2024 BMW 5 Series Redesign
Exterior And Interior Design
The new sedan has camouflage wrap and covers all over its bodywork in the first spy images of the 2024 BMW 5 Series, which are now accessible. Anyway, we noted that the new sedan’s headlights are nearly identical to those on the new BMW X1. Interestingly, the Series 5 has slimmer headlights with distinctive LED graphics.
The rear also features a set of smaller, horizontally-mounted taillights, which are another example of the most recent design language. The taillights are comparable to those on the bigger 7-Series flagship in terms of appearance and placement. In addition to the four-door sedan, a more useful five-door touring version is something we anticipate seeing as well.
The 2024 BMW 5 Series will feature more interior innovations than we initially anticipated. Several new technologies are seen in the cabin, as shown in certain spy photos. According to what we know, the manufacturer will include a fully digital cockpit that is comparable to the one present in a number of recent BMW models. Expect a basic package that includes a 10-speaker, 205-watt audio system, Bluetooth, satellite radio, navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone connection.
The list of driver assistance features needs to be expanded. Active blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking are all features of the current model.
2024 BMW 5 Series Engine
The manufacturer hasn’t yet provided precise information on its engines. According to the information now available, customers will have a choice of mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or completely electric powertrains for the 2024 BMW 5 Series. Whether the maker intends to keep the other ones is unknown at this time.
The M5 Competition variant now has the most potent engine, a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
2024 BMW 5 Series Release Date And Price
According to reports, the new BMW 5 Series will be far more expensive than the current model. The base model of the current version costs $55,000, while the most premium M5 Competition costs more than $115,000. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class starts at $55K, while the Audi A6 starts at $56K.
Anyway, the new Genesis G80, which costs $50K, is a good option if you’re looking for more standard equipment at a cheaper price. The second half of next year will see the arrival of all variants, including the M5 Competition.
